Use:Polyacrylamide is an important water-soluble polymer, and has many valuable properties, such as flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, resistance reduction and dispersion. What are the common types of polyacrylamide?
The common types of polyacrylamide are: anionic, cationic, and nonionic polyacrylamide. It is a linear water-soluble polymer and one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymers. It is mainly used for high-efficiency Flocculants, thickeners, paper strengthening agents and liquid drag reducers are widely used in water treatment, papermaking, petroleum, coal, mining and metallurgy, geology, textile, construction and other industrial sectors. The following Shijian Chemical specifically introduces the role of anionic, cationic, and nonionic polyacrylamide in sewage treatment.
The role of non-ionic polyacrylamide in sewage treatment:
Nonionic polyacrylamide is suitable for the separation of suspended solids in a mixed state of organic and inorganic, and the solution is acidic or neutral. When the suspended sewage is acidic, it is more appropriate to use non-ionic polyacrylamide as a flocculant. This is because polyacrylamide plays the role of adsorption and bridging, causing suspended particles to flocculate and precipitate, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying sewage. It can also be used for the purification of tap water, especially when used in conjunction with inorganic flocculants, and has the best effect in water treatment.
The above is the role of the three types of polyacrylamide in sewage treatment. Only by choosing symptomatic materials can they play their role in water treatment more efficiently.
Precautions for use:
1. Granular polyacrylamide cannot be directly added to the sewage. It must be dissolved in water before use, and then the aqueous solution is used to treat the sewage.
2. The water for dissolving granular polymers should be clean tap water, not sewage. Normal temperature water is enough, generally do not need to be heated. It dissolves very slowly when the water temperature is lower than 5°C. Increasing the water temperature increases the dissolution rate, but above 40°C will accelerate the degradation of the polymer and affect the use effect. Generally tap water is suitable for preparing polymer solutions. Water with strong acid, strong alkali and high salt content is not suitable for preparation.
3. The concentration of the polymer solution is recommended to be 0.1%-0.3%, that is, add 1g-3g polymer powder to 1 liter of water.
